| Obverse description | Central vignette comprises a portrait of Salvador Correia de Sá e Benevides (1594–1664), the Portuguese admiral and colonial administrator renowned for expelling the Dutch from Angola and recapturing São Tomé in 1647, rendered in intaglio against a fine guilloche underprint. The denomination numeral "20" appears in each corner, with the issuer's title inscribed in a cartouche across the upper register. A decorative border of interlocking geometric guilloche elements frames the entire face. |
