| Obverse description | Printed in dark green intaglio on cream paper, the obverse carries an oval vignette at the left with a portrait of King Ananda Mahidol (Rama VIII) in military uniform, set within an elaborate scrollwork frame. The central area presents a riverside scene with traditional Thai stilt houses, reeds in the foreground, and a figure on a boat, while to the right stands a vignette of a deity figure flanked by elephants. The Garuda emblem crowns the top centre, with the denomination ยี่สิบบาท in large Thai script below the main inscription รัฐบาล สยาม, and serial numbers with the date printed in red in both English and Thai above. |

To the lower left, a large circular lathe-work rosette provides an additional security underprint element, while the four corners carry floral guilloche panels with the denomination numerals ๒๐ and 20. A two-line Thai legal warning inscription runs along the lower edge of the central vignette, and the printer's imprint appears at the foot of the note. |
