Obverse description Dark brown and green bicolour note with the bank title BANCO DE VENEZUELA in large bold letters across the upper left, alongside the inscription SOCIEDAD ANONIMA and capital notation at top. A central vignette on the right half portrays a llanero on horseback rounding cattle, rendered in fine intaglio engraving. The denomination 20 appears in large numerals at each corner, with the place of issue CARACAS and payment clause text in letterpress across the lower portion.

Reverse description Printed entirely in green, the reverse is dominated by a large central vignette of the Venezuelan national coat of arms, enclosed within an elaborate guilloche border with floral and rosette underprint patterns filling the surrounding field. The denomination 20 appears in the left and right panels within the guilloche work. The bank name BANCO DE VENEZUELA arcs above the coat of arms, with VENEZUELA inscribed below in a rectangular panel.
