| Obverse description | Central vignette of Mercury seated, rendered in intaglio, flanked by two large guilloche medallions bearing the numeral 20 against an intricate lathe-work underprint. The bank title 'EL BANCO DE LA NACION BOLIVIANA' arcs across the top in bold letterpress, with 'LA PAZ' and the date '11 de Mayo de 1911' inscribed in the upper corners.
