Left vignette shows a shepherdess seated with a lamb; right oval vignette presents an allegorical female figure in classical armour. The bank title EL BANCO POTOSÍ appears at upper left, date SUCRE, ENERO 1º DE 1894 at lower right.

Reverse description Uniformly intaglio-printed in brown on cream paper. A central rectangular vignette depicts a group of putti engaged in allegorical commerce and industry, with a globe, ship, bales and tools. The legends BANCO at left and POTOSÍ at right flank the central scene vertically, with denomination numerals 20 in ornate cartouches at each side. Elaborate shell-and-scroll cornerpieces frame the composition.
