Reverse description Printed in olive-brown on plain paper, the reverse presents a purely typographic design with no pictorial vignette. The denomination TWENTY and CENTAVOS appear in large bold capitals at center, separated by the legend COMMONWEALTH OF THE PHILIPPINES, while the numerals 20 and the cent symbol appear in the four corners; the legend EMERGENCY CIRCULATING NOTE OF 1942 runs along the lower margin. The entire design is enclosed within a fine ruled border with a repeating notched outer frame.
