Obverse description Portrait of King George VI in military uniform within an oval guilloche vignette at left, with the denomination numeral '20' in the lower right corner. The central text panel states the note is legal tender for Twenty Cents in the Straits Settlements and Malay States, dated 1st July 1941, with Jawi script inscription below. The note is printed in brown on a finely engraved guilloche underprint, with ornate floral cornerpieces and a signature of the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners.
