| Obverse description | Bare-headed effigy of King Aleksandar I in left-facing profile, with finely engraved hair and strong facial features rendered in high relief. The truncation is plain and unadorned. The circular legend ALEKSANDAR I. KRALJ JUGOSLAVIJE runs along the upper periphery, while the mint name KOVNICA·A·D· appears at the lower truncation. The entire design is framed by a continuous beaded border. |

The eagle bears upon its breast the quartered coat of arms of Yugoslavia, depicting the Serbian cross with firesteels and the Croatian chequered shield. The date 19-31 is divided across the field to the left and right of the eagle's body. The denomination 20 DINARA is inscribed in the lower exergual area. A beaded border frames the entire design. |
