| Obverse description | Predominantly green note with a large vignette of a Charaxes barnsi butterfly rendered in multicolour against a guilloche underprint of interlocking geometric patterns. The national coat of arms appears in the upper centre, flanked by two facsimile signatures — that of the Ministro das Finanças, Comércio e Economia Azul on the right and the Governador do Banco Central below it — alongside a small colourful butterfly vignette at the right margin. The numerals '20' appear in large format at both the left and lower-right, with the bank title 'BANCO CENTRAL DE S.
