| Reverse description | The reverse of this fan-shaped puzzle piece coin is devoted to the theme of the lunar cycle and its influence on the natural world, rendered through a richly engraved forest landscape shared across the complete seven-piece puzzle set. Selective black rhodium plating is applied over the majority of the engraved surface, concealing much of the design to dramatically evoke a nocturnal environment. Within this darkened field, a specific phase of the Moon is revealed — the third quarter — alongside a single Canadian nocturnal or twilight animal: a grizzly bear, whose form emerges from the shadow of the rhodium treatment. The interplay between the polished silver relief and the matte black rhodium surface creates strong tonal contrast, enhancing the atmospheric quality of the nocturnal scene.
