| Obverse description | A large intaglio vignette of a mythical carp-dragon (鯉魚) in blue occupies the left portion of the note, set against a fine guilloche underprint. The bank name in both Chinese and English script, serial number, and denomination in large numerals appear at centre and upper right, accompanied by a holographic security device at far right. Two manuscript signatures of the Chief Financial Officer and Director are printed below the bilingual promise-to-pay text, with the date 1 JULY 2003 at lower centre. |
