| Obverse description | Letterpress-printed note in dark brown on plain buff paper, framed by an ornate typographic border with foliate corner ornaments and a repeating dotted rule. The denomination "Zwanzig Kreuzer C. Mze." is set in bold display type at the top, with large numeral "20" counters at left and right flanking the central text panel. The issuing authority text states that the Komotauer Rentkasse redeems these notes against Austrian National Bank notes for the Stadtgemeinde, dated "Komotau, den 1. Jänner 1849"; a hand-engraved municipal arms vignette with two handwritten signatures and printed "Serie" and "Nro." fields appear in the lower portion. The printer's imprint "Druck v. Gottlieb Haase Söhne in Prag" is set in small type at the lower right margin. |
