Obverse lettering FREDERIK VIII DANMARKS KONGE
Reverse description The elaborately detailed crowned coat of arms of Denmark, quartered and displaying the Danish lions with hearts, the lion of Norway, the ram of the Faroe Islands, the bear of Greenland, and other royal heraldic charges, all supported on either side by wildmen (savage supporters) holding clubs, with the shield surmounted by a large royal crown. The denomination '20 KRONER' is inscribed boldly across the lower portion of the shield, with the date placed vertically along the left side of the arms. The entire design is contained within a beaded border.
