| Obverse description | The central intaglio vignette presents a view of the Castle of Riga set against a calm waterfront, flanked at left by a secondary allegorical sailing composition, all rendered within an intricate guilloche border in olive-green and brown tones. The large denomination numeral "20" in guilloche form appears at the lower right, while the date "RĪGA. 1936. G." is inscribed at the lower left, below which two signature lines accommodate the Finance Minister and the State Treasury Department Director. Multicoloured guilloche underprinting fills the field, with the principal inscriptions applied by letterpress across the upper register. |
