| Obverse description | Kassenschein (cash note) printed in black on a light grey guilloche underprint, with the denomination '20' repeated in the upper corners and the title 'Zwanzig Mark' in large Gothic blackletter script across the upper portion. The body of the note carries a multi-line German text issued by the Gouvernements-Hauptkasse in Windhoek, dated 6. August 1913, with the printed title 'Der Kaiserliche Gouverneur' above a manuscript signature. A validity clause reading 'Zur Gültigkeit muß dem Kassenschein der Reichsadler in großer Form aufgedruckt sein.' appears in the lower right, referencing the required Imperial Eagle overprint; vertical text in Gothic script runs along the left margin. |
