Obverse description A green guilloche border frames the note, with the denomination TWENTY PESOS repeated along the upper and lower margins and PESOS inscribed vertically along both lateral edges. A portrait vignette of a male figure is positioned at the left centre within the green underprint, while the central text panel, executed in black letterpress, carries the issuing authority, promise-to-pay legend, and a stamped red script date 'Iloilo City, Dec. 30, 1942' at right. Three manuscript signatures appear across the lower portion, identified below as Provincial Auditor Member, Acting Manager P.N.B. Iloilo Chairman, and Provincial Fiscal Member.

Reverse description The reverse is printed in green on plain paper, centred on a circular guilloche vignette inscribed TWENTY PESOS enclosing an allegorical female figure holding a hammer. The bank name PHILIPPINE NATIONAL BANK arches above the vignette in Old English script, flanked by radiating lines, while the place and date 'Iloilo City, Philippines / December 30, 1942' appear in script to either side. Denomination numerals '20' occupy each corner and PESOS is repeated vertically along both lateral borders.
