| Obverse description | Printed in blue and red on plain paper, the obverse carries the large denomination numerals XX at the left and right margins, framing a central text panel enclosed within a fine guilloche border. The panel bears the legends TREASURY EMERGENCY CURRENCY CERTIFICATE and BY AUTHORITY OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF THE PHILIPPINES, with a serial number flanking the country name.
