| Obverse description | Black intaglio print over a brown underprint, with red serial numbers and a red seal. The left field is dominated by a vignette of a steam locomotive passing through a town set against a distant mountain range, while to the right a child in a sun hat holds a sheaf of wheat and a sickle. The denomination and promise-to-pay legend appear in bold serif type across the central band. |
