| Obverse description | The current Mexican national arms occupy the center of the obverse, depicting the iconic eagle perched on a cactus devouring a serpent, encircled by a wreath. Surrounding this central device is a ring of ten smaller shields, each representing one of the historical versions of the Mexican coat of arms used throughout the nation's history.
