Reverse description Central vignette of the Sinaloa (Sopoaga) waterfall in south-central Savai'i, rendered in warm earth tones against rocky cliff surroundings, set within a golden-yellow guilloche underprint with traditional Samoan geometric motifs. A transparent polymer window at left displays a Teuila flower security element in contrasting dark and light tones. At lower right, a holographic CHOGM commemorative foil patch bears a stylised floral motif above the inscription 'CHOGM SAMOA 2024', marking the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting hosted in Samoa. Two facsimile signatures appear at right, identified as Minister of Finance and Governor.

Issued to mark the 2024 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting hosted by Samoa — the first CHOGM held in the Pacific Islands. That alone made it a politically significant event for the region, and the Central Bank moved quickly to commemorate it with a dedicated polymer issue. De La Rue's polymer substrate here carries a window element integrated into the design, a feature that has become increasingly common in their commemorative output since Innovia's Guardian substrate technology was absorbed into broader production pipelines.

Commemorative Tālā issues from Samoa are produced in limited quantities and rarely see active ATM circulation.
