| Reverse description | The reverse features a central depiction of the Obelisk to the Hero-City of Sevastopol, erected on the high bank of the North Bay in honor of the defenders who held the city against German forces for 250 days from November 1941 to July 1942. To the left of the obelisk, set against a background of stylized sea waves, stands the monument to the ships scuttled in defense of Sevastopol during 1854–1855; to the right, three rows of waves are surmounted by the silhouette of a modern warship. The upper circular legend reads МІСТО-ГЕРОЙ СЕВАСТОПОЛЬ, and the dates 1941–1945 appear in the lower field beneath the obelisk. |
