| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Dahomey is centrally displayed, flanked by the country name REPUBLIQUE DU DAHOMEY arranged around the upper field. The date 1971 appears above the arms, while the commemorative inscription 1er Août 1970 / 10ème Anniversaire marks the tenth anniversary of independence. The national motto FRATERNITE JUSTICE TRAVAIL is inscribed across the lower field, with the denomination 200 FRANCS CFA and the fineness mark 999.9 positioned near the lower rim. |
