| Obverse description | The obverse of this octagonal gold-plated coin displays the national coat of arms of Vanuatu at centre, featuring a Melanesian warrior in traditional dress standing before a boar's tusk and two crossed namele fern fronds, with a pig-tusk arc beneath. The legend 'RIPABLIK BLONG' arcs along the left and right sides of the octagonal field, with 'VANUATU' inscribed along the lower edge. The year of issue '2009' appears in the upper field above the coat of arms. The motto 'LONG GOD YUMI STANAP' is inscribed on a ribbon within the lower portion of the arms device. |
