| Obverse description | At upper left, a portrait of mathematician and geophysicist Milutin Milanković (1879–1958) is set against a structured guilloche underprint, while the central vignette renders him seated at his writing desk in a scholarly pose executed in fine intaglio. Below the central vignette, a graph illustrating his celebrated calculations of snow line displacement across some 600,000 years of the Quaternary period is engraved with precision.
