| Obverse description | Central design depicts three wild horses rearing and charging to the right, derived from the Apollo 13 mission insignia. Behind the horses, a large radiant sun with diverging rays fills the upper left field. In the lower right, a cratered celestial body — representing the Moon — is shown in perspective. A small globe on an orbital arc appears in the lower centre. The legend REP. DE GUINEE curves along the upper rim, and APOLLO XIII is inscribed along the lower left, all within a beaded border. |

| Reverse description | Central field bears the Guinean coat of arms: a shield charged with an elephant passant, flanked by scrolled banners inscribed TRAVAIL and SOLIDARITE, with a lower scroll bearing JUSTICE and the date 1970 below. A dove in flight carrying an olive branch surmounts the shield. The arms are flanked on each side by two stalks of grain. The dates 1958–1968 appear vertically on the left, and X. ANNIVERSAIRE curves along the right, commemorating the tenth anniversary of independence.
