| Reverse description | A highly detailed, high-relief rendering of a complete Protoceratops andrewsi skeleton is depicted in lateral view, occupying the majority of the field, with the characteristic large frill and beak of the ceratopsian skull prominently rendered at right. The skeletal anatomy, including the vertebral column, ribs, limbs, and tail, is rendered with scientific accuracy against a colorized field simulating the texture and hues of ancient sedimentary rock in shades of ochre, rust, and violet. The antiqued, fossil-in-stone aesthetic is achieved through selective coloring of the background field, contrasting with the polished silver of the skeleton itself.
