| Obverse description | The full Coat of Arms of Rhodesia occupies the central field, featuring a quartered shield supported by a sable antelope on the left and a kudu on the right, both rendered in fine relief. Above the shield rises a closed helmet surmounted by a Zimbabwe bird perched on a rocky promontory, flanked by decorative foliage on either side. A scroll at the base of the arms bears the motto legend SIT NOMINE DIGNA. No country name or issuer inscription appears on this face. The engraver's initials T.S. for Tommy Sasseen are inscribed in the lower right field, and the design is bordered by a beaded inner rim. |
