Obverse description The obverse, printed in green and black on an intricate guilloche underprint, centres on a seated allegorical female figure in classical robes. The issuing authority 'CASA DE MONEDA DE MEDELLIN' is inscribed in large letters across the upper field, with denomination numerals '2 1/2' set within guilloche ovals at left and right. The written denomination 'DOS PESOS CINCUENTA CENTAVOS' runs along the lower margin, accompanied by three manuscript signatures and a date line reading 'Medellin a Primero de Mayo de 1920.'
