Triple "T" House was an American-style restaurant operating in Tehran during the Pahlavi era, and like many foreign-oriented businesses in the city, it issued its own scrip for internal use — almost certainly as a prepaid meal or token system for staff or regular customers. These privately issued fractional notes were not uncommon among Tehran's expatriate and upper-class commercial establishments in the 1960s and 1970s, though few are documented with any precision.
The serial number is the only security feature, which suggests a print run small enough that counterfeiting was not a practical concern. The operation ended with the 1979 Revolution.
