| Obverse description | The obverse features a central rectangular panel bearing the legend FIJI above the denomination 25 DOLLARS in bold incuse lettering, framed above and below by registers of geometric chevron and zigzag ornamental borders. To the left, a vertical band displays two square panels filled with traditional Fijian tapa cloth rosette motifs, while the right field is occupied by a broad vertical band of interlocking chain-link and ladder pattern designs. The entire composition draws its decorative vocabulary from indigenous Fijian barkcloth (masi) textile art, creating a distinctly Oceanic aesthetic across the entire coin face. |
