Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Roman Emperor Diocletian facing right, rendered in high relief in a classical ancient Roman style. The emperor is depicted bearded, wearing a laurel wreath and imperial paludamentum fastened at the shoulder. The encircling legend reads IMP C DIOCLETIANUS P F AUG, distributed around the upper and lower periphery of the field.
