| Reverse description | The reverse carries an extensive handwritten cancellation notice in Dutch, written in ink in a 19th-century cursive hand across the entire note face, overlying the ghosted printed border and guilloche underprint visible in raking light. The inscription records the formal withdrawal of this note type on 10 December 1879 and its replacement by notes of equal value, dated and signed at Willemstad, Curaçao, 16 December 1899 by the Administrator of Finance and Chairman of the Bank. |
