Obverse description Printed in red on a green and light blue guilloche underprint, the obverse carries a large intaglio vignette of a young woman with flowers and foliage woven into her hair, set within an oval frame at right. The bank title 'De Nederlandsche Bank' is rendered in bold cursive script across the centre, with the denomination 'VIJF EN TWINTIG GULDEN' lettered below in capital text. Two manuscript signatures appear at lower left and lower right, above the respective titles SECRETARIS and PRESIDENT, with the date and place of issue centred at the bottom.
