| Obverse description | A finely engraved tropical coastal vignette occupies the left half of the note, with tall palm trees leaning over a rocky shoreline rendered in detailed intaglio. The central and right portions carry the bilingual denomination text in Dutch and Malay, set against an intricate guilloche underprint, with a large numeral '25' medallion at upper-right formed by concentric lathe-work rosettes. Two manuscript signatures appear below the denomination text, captioned SECRETARIS and PRESIDENT, with the printer's imprint JOH. ENSCHEDÉ EN ZONEN along the lower margin. |
