| Obverse description | Central field features the elaborate tughra (imperial monogram) of Sultan Mehmed VI, flanked symmetrically by olive or laurel branches forming a wreath at the base. A row of seven small stars arcs across the upper field above the tughra. The regnal year numeral appears in Arabic script below the tughra, within the wreath. The overall design is executed in high relief on a finely milled gold flan. |
