| Obverse description | At centre, the seal of the Central Bank of Lesotho depicted within a wreath of olive branches tied at the base with a ribbon; the seal incorporates a stylised globe with a horizontal band inscribed MALOTI, encircled by the legend CENTRAL BANK OF LESOTHO above and PANKA E KHOLO EA LESOTHO below. Above the seal, the Royal Arms of Lesotho surmounted by a crown appear in the upper field. The curved inscription 25th anniversary 1980-2005 runs along the upper periphery.
