Obverse description The obverse features the interlaced royal cypher of King Frederik IX — a stylized 'R' surmounted by the numeral 'IX' — positioned to the left of the central hole, and topped by a royal crown in high relief. A naturalistic beech branch bearing multiple leaves sweeps elegantly along the right side of the field. The date of issue appears in the lower field, flanked by the mint master's initials 'C' and 'S' with a heart-shaped mint mark between them, all engraved by H. Salomon.
