| Obverse description | Right-facing truncated bust of Juan Luna, the celebrated Filipino painter and national hero, rendered in moderate relief against a plain field. The sitter's name 'JUAN LUNA' appears in two lines to the right of the portrait. The circular legend 'REPUBLIKA NG PILIPINAS' arcs along the upper periphery, while the date is prominently displayed in large numerals along the lower rim. A small engraver's initial is present at the lower left of the bust truncation. |
