| Obverse description | Plain central field bearing a three-line French-language inscription in raised serif lettering arranged concentrically: REÇU in the upper portion, au in the centre, and TRESOR in the lower portion. The inscription, meaning 'Received at the Treasury', is enclosed within a raised inner circle, beyond which runs a decorative border of alternating upward- and downward-pointing triangular or chevron-shaped devices around the entire periphery. The design is purely typographic, with no effigy or additional ornament in the field. |
