| Obverse description | Central field features the national coat of arms of Lesotho, depicting a shield bearing a crocodile flanked by two rearing horses as supporters, surmounted by a traditional Basotho hat (mokorotlo) above crossed weapons. A scroll beneath the shield bears the national motto KHOTSO PULA NALA in the field. The legend KINGDOM OF LESOTHO arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 250 MALOTI is inscribed along the lower periphery. The design is executed in high-relief proof finish against a mirror field. |
