Reverse description Within the central nickel-plated steel disc, a uniformed bust of Admiral Nikolai Gerasimovich Kuznetsov is depicted in three-quarter view to the left, with his name and life dates inscribed in the field to his right. Below the portrait, a detailed side-view rendering of the aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov occupies the lower portion of the disc, shown underway with aircraft visible on the flight deck. The outer brass ring bears a Cyrillic legend reading ЗНАМЕНИТЫЕ КОРАБЛИ РОССИЙСКОГО ФЛОТА (Famous Ships of the Russian Fleet) along the upper arc, and АВИАНОСЕЦ "АДМИРАЛ КУЗНЕЦОВ" along the lower arc.

Additional information

The Admiral Kuznetsov has the distinction of being the only aircraft carrier currently operated by the Russian Navy — a single, perpetually troubled vessel whose maintenance history includes a catastrophic floating dry dock accident in 2018 that sank the dock itself and dropped a 70-tonne crane onto the flight deck. The "Arctic Territories" issuing authority is a Marshall Islands-affiliated novelty licensing arrangement, not a recognized Russian administrative region, producing coins with no genuine circulation mandate.
