| Reverse description | The reverse depicts a full-color polychrome representation of the historic Mytishchi Waterworks building (Екатерининский Мытищинский водопровод), a monumental red-brick Neo-Russian style structure with a broad arched central entrance and symmetrical flanking wings. Behind and above the building, the arched spans of the aqueduct are rendered in silver relief. Superimposed above the building's roofline is a relief portrait bust of Empress Catherine II in profile, facing left, in reference to the waterworks' imperial patronage. The curved legend 'ЕКАТЕРИНИНСКИЙ МЫТИЩИНСКИЙ ВОДОПРОВОД 1804' arcs across the upper field, with the year '2007' appearing in the lower exergue. |
