| Obverse description | Multicolour note with an intricate floral and geometric border in red and green tones. At centre, the Persian denomination سه تومان appears in large Nastaliq script, flanked by an oval vignette of the Lion and Sun arms of Persia at left and a portrait vignette of Mozaffar ad-Din Shah in royal regalia at right. The date 10TH APRIL 1900 is printed above the central inscription, with an oval Persian seal and two manuscript signatures below; the bank name بانک شاهنشاهی ایران runs along the top in Arabic script. |

| Reverse description | Printed in a single deep blue intaglio, the reverse carries a large central oval vignette of the Imperial Lion and Sun arms within a wreath, surrounded by an elaborate guilloche lattice pattern. Corner pieces bear stylised numeral 3 ornaments in blue, and the serial number C110370 appears both at upper right and lower left. The inscription THE IMPERIAL BANK OF PERSIA arches above the central vignette, with THREE TOMANS in bold serif lettering below, and the printer's imprint BRADBURY WILKINSON & CO ENGRAVERS LONDON along the bottom margin. |
