| Obverse description | Gold foil non-circulating note issued to commemorate Antigua and Barbuda's independence in November 1981, struck on a dark backing with all design elements rendered in raised gold relief. The central vignette presents a panoramic coastal landscape with rolling hills and shoreline, flanked on the left by an oval medallion bearing the national coat of arms and on the right by an oval portrait medallion of Queen Elizabeth II. Denomination numerals "30" appear in circular cartouches at each corner, with ornate floral and scroll borders framing the composition, and the title "THIRTY DOLLARS" set in a panel at the foot of the note. |

Decorative laurel and floral borders line the lateral margins, with denomination numerals "30" in oval cartouches at each corner and the legend "THIRTY DOLLARS" inscribed in a rectangular panel along the lower edge. |
