Obverse description Central field features a large royal crown rendered in relief, with three fleurs-de-lis finials and a decorative base ornamented with pellets and crosses. The crown is enclosed within a plain inner circle, around which two concentric legend rings are separated by a beaded border. The outer legend reads +WENCEZLAVS:TERCIVS, while the inner ring bears +DEI : GRATIA * REX : BOEMIE, identifying the issuer as Wenceslaus IV, King of Bohemia by the grace of God. The lettering is executed in Gothic uncial characters, consistent with Bohemian royal coinage of the late 14th and early 15th centuries. The overall design is bold and deeply struck, reflecting the substantial thickness characteristic of a piedfort striking.
