| Obverse description | Central field dominated by the elaborate tuğra (imperial cipher) of Sultan Mahmud II, rendered in bold calligraphic strokes characteristic of early 19th-century Ottoman provincial coinage. A small floral sprig appears in the upper right of the field, with a stylised flower ornament in the lower left. The coin is struck on a broad, irregular flan with a beaded border visible along the rim. The overall composition is typical of the hammered billon issues produced for the Regency of Tripoli. |
