| Obverse description | Central field features a traditional Nepalese royal cipher composed of the full name of King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev, inscribed in Devanagari script within a segmented square panel framed by decorative curved interlaced borders. The Bikram Sambat regnal date 2047 appears in the lower portion of the central panel. The legend श्री श्री appears at the top of the design, and the overall layout reflects the classical Nepalese coin tradition of presenting the royal name in a cartouche-like format. A beaded border runs along the outer rim. |
