Obverse description Draped bust of Felipe V facing right, featuring an elaborate flowing wig with voluminous curls rendered in high relief, characteristic of the Baroque portrait style introduced at the Mexico City Mint in the early 18th century. The king wears armored dress visible at the truncation, which is ornamented with scrollwork. The circular legend surrounds the effigy, with the date flanked by small floral ornaments positioned in the lower field beneath the bust.
