Obverse description Armored and draped bust of Fernando VI facing right, wearing a periwig, rendered in high relief in the Baroque colonial style. The circular legend surrounding the effigy reads FERDND VI D G HISPAN ET IND REX, separated by small rosette stops. The four-digit date 1758 appears in the lower exergual area, flanked by small rosette ornaments. The portrait is bold and characteristic of the Nueva Granada milled coinage series introduced under the Bourbon reform of Spanish colonial mints.
