| Reverse description | Central device consists of a bold floriated cross with trefoil terminations, dividing the field into four quarters, each containing alternating castles and lions from the Arms of Castile and León. The cross is elaborately ornamented with scrolling foliage at each arm. A partial peripheral legend reading VTRAQUE UNUM runs along the outer border, enclosed within a beaded circle. The reverse retains the irregular, clipped flan characteristic of cob-style milled coinage of the period. |
